Don't give up on me!

This is not an April Fools joke.  I REALLY AM updating the blog.
So much to post about, yet I have been MIA.  Well, have no fear.  I have returned and I am determined to get back on track!

There has been SO much going on over the last few months! In order to discuss one of the most exciting times of 2013, I've got to take it back to February when we made the trek to New Orleans for Super Bowl XLVII to cheer on the 49ers.

Dad and William on a roadtrip stop

Car selfie! (it's a long ride guys)

Hey there hubby!

Superdome!  We were almost to the house and getting pretty excited!

Hotels were all booked up, but we were fortunate enough to be able to stay in this super cute house just a few miles away from downtown Nawlins'.

Car flag!

First stop: Gumbo Shop

Second stop: Pat O'Brien's

Hurricane time!

This is William narrowly escaping a crowd who mistaked him for Dale, Jr.  It was pretty amazing. He stopped and took pictures with people.  What a down to earth celeb! :)

Bourbon Street

Dinner at The Bourbon House

Sisters!

We met Jerome Bettis (AKA "The Bus")  and he was kind enough to step away from his dinner and take pictures with us!  How nice!

Super Bowl Sunday brunch at the team hotel.  Delicious, and great entertainment too!

This choir performed while everyone was eating.  Little Ryan loved it, and even got on stage at one point to play the drums :)

Making our way to the dome!  What energy this city has!

Watching Andy warm up.

What an amazing time we had, with one exception (the final score of course).  I think we can all agree that the comeback was pretty awesome-I mean it wasn't looking too good until the blackout!  It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I'm so grateful we were able to go and enjoy it with family and friends.
New Orleans was an amazing time and I can't wait to go back one day and visit.....and of course eat some more delicious cajun food!

I promise to be better about updating!  Thanks for your patience :)
